Community Regulations and Player Responsibilities β
Welcome to AvalonCS. We are proud to offer a Minecraft server experience that prioritizes fairness, stability, and enjoyment for all our players. In order to preserve a safe, respectful, and competitive environment, every member of our community is expected to adhere to a set of established rules and guidelines.
The full set of community rules is publicly available at:
π https://avaloncs.net/rules
By joining and participating in AvalonCS, you agree to comply with all the rules listed on the above page, as well as the responsibilities and clarifications outlined in this document.
1. Ignorance of the Rules Is Not an Excuse β
It is the sole responsibility of each player to read, understand, and comply with the server rules. Failure to be aware of the rules will not exempt any player from penalties. Whether a rule is known or not, its violation will be treated accordingly. We encourage all players, especially new ones, to review the rules thoroughly before engaging in any gameplay.
2. Island Protection and Player Responsibility β
AvalonCS provides players with a variety of tools and security measures to manage and protect their islands or plots. These include region claims, access permissions, protection plugins, and customizable settings to control who can interact with specific areas.
However, the ultimate responsibility lies with the player. This means:
- You are responsible for who you invite to your island.
- You are responsible for properly configuring your protections.
- You are responsible for monitoring who has build/break permissions.
- You are responsible for checking your co-op partners and guests.
If you lose items, resources, or progress due to poor island configuration, shared access, or trust misplaced in other players, the staff team will not restore anything. These losses are a direct consequence of your management decisions and fall under your own jurisdiction.
3. Staff Responsibility Limitations β
The AvalonCS staff is committed to ensuring that the server operates smoothly and that players have the best experience possible. However, the staff is not liable for any item losses, gameplay errors, or other issues that do not stem directly from an unavoidable mistake by a staff member.
Some clarifications:
- PvP-related losses: If you lose your gear in PvP combat, it is part of the game mechanics. We will not refund or intervene.
- Void drops: In void worlds, falling will teleport the player back to spawn to avoid death. However, if you drop items into the void, they are permanently lost, and the staff is not responsible for retrieving or restoring them.
- Player errors: Losing items due to lag, inventory misclicks, or other personal mistakes does not warrant staff intervention.
- Griefing due to poor security: If someone you trusted or allowed access to your island causes damage, the staff will not recover the loss unless the server's protection system was proven to have failed.
All administrative actionsβsuch as item restoration, teleportation assistance, or any form of manual interventionβare optional and discretionary. If a staff member helps you voluntarily, it is a courtesy, not an entitlement. No player has the right to demand or claim compensation from the staff.
4. No Obligation to Fulfill Player Requests β
Staff members are under no obligation to comply with personal requests, regardless of their nature, urgency, or the rank of the player. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Item restoration
- Rank adjustments
- In-game teleports
- Economy refunds
- Event rewards disputes
The only exception to this rule applies to cases where a player cannot access their account due to a lost password. In such cases, the player must open a support ticket through our official Discord server, clearly stating their issue and providing all requested verification information.
Only upon confirmation of account ownership can password resets or account access be granted. Requests without proper evidence will be rejected for security reasons.
5. Lost Passwords and Account Recovery β
If you lose access to your account, do not panic. Please open a ticket in our Discord server explaining your situation. You will be asked to provide:
- Your in-game username
- Any transaction or login history (if applicable)
- Proof of account ownership (e.g., email address or Discord ID)
Once verified, our staff will proceed with password reset instructions. Note that we will not reset passwords without sufficient proof.
6. Alt Account Policy β Rule #14 β
As clearly stated in Rule 14 on our main rules page, the creation and use of multiple accounts ("alts") is strictly forbidden unless previously authorized by staff.
Creating more than one account for personal gain, evasion of punishment, or bypassing cooldowns or restrictions is considered a serious offense. The consequences are as follows:
- All related accounts will be permanently banned.
- The associated IP address will also be banned, preventing further access to the server.
There are no exceptions unless you have notified staff in advance and received explicit written approval. For example, siblings or household members sharing the same IP must inform staff beforehand. Failure to do so will be treated as alt abuse.
7. Prohibition of VPNs and Proxies β
For security, stability, and fairness, the use of VPNs, proxy servers, or any service that masks or alters your real IP address is strictly prohibited on AvalonCS.
There are no exceptions to this rule. Any connection attempt through these services may result in automatic blacklisting or bans, regardless of the player's intent. This is necessary to prevent ban evasion, malicious attacks, and abuse of alternate accounts.
However, we understand that false positives may occur. If you believe you have been wrongfully flagged or blacklisted, you may contact the staff team via our support channels to request a review. You will be asked to provide information that demonstrates the legitimacy of your connection and circumstances.
All decisions regarding VPN-related bans are made at the discretion of the administrative team after case review.
8. Use of Non-Official Launchers β
AvalonCS allows players to connect using non-official Minecraft launchers, as long as they comply with the following conditions:
- The launcher must not introduce modifications that could compromise the security, integrity, or fairness of the server.
- The launcher must not include cheats, exploits, auto-clickers, or injectors that provide unfair advantages over players using the official launcher.
- The launcher must be stable and compatible with the server's required version and anti-cheat systems.
Players who use non-official launchers do so at their own risk. Crashes, errors, or incompatibilities caused by such software are not the responsibility of the staff. If a launcher triggers the anti-cheat or security systems, this may lead to automatic punishment.
Players are encouraged to use official, verified launchers whenever possible to ensure a stable and fair experience.
9. Island Ownership Transfers β
Changes in island ownership will not be processed by staff under any circumstances, except in the following two cases:
- The original owner has changed accounts due to moving from a non-official launcher to an official Mojang or Microsoft account. In this case, staff may consider transferring ownership to the new, verified account, provided sufficient evidence is submitted.
- Both the current owner and the proposed new owner agree to the transfer, and both submit written consent explicitly stating their mutual approval. Screenshots, Discord messages, or forms of verifiable written confirmation may be required.
Outside of these two very specific scenarios, requests to change the owner of an island or region will be denied by default. This is to prevent scams, forced transfers, and administrative abuse. Players should choose co-owners and island members carefully.
