Minecraft Rules

Welcome to AvalonCS. We are proud to offer a Minecraft server experience that prioritizes fairness, stability, and enjoyment for all our players. In order to preserve a safe, respectful, and competitive environment, every member of our community is expected to adhere to a set of established rules and guidelines.

The full set of community rules is publicly available at:

By joining and participating in AvalonCS servers and social media, you agree to abide by all of the rules listed on the previous page, as well as the Minecraft-specific rules listed below:

REMEMBER

Both the general rules and the rules below are complementary and binding. Furthermore, in case of conflict (which we doubt), the Staff has the final word.

1.- Ignorance of the Rules Is Not an Excuse

It is the sole responsibility of each player to read, understand, and comply with the server rules, both general and game-specific, if applicable. Therefore, we urge all players, especially new players, to review the rules carefully before participating in any match. Failure to comply with the rules does not exempt any player from being penalized by the administrators and will be penalized in the same way as deliberately ignoring them.

2.- Island Protection and Player Responsibility

AvalonCS provides players with a variety of tools and security measures to manage and protect their islands or plots. These include region claims, access permissions, protection plugins, and customizable settings to control who can interact with specific areas.

However, the ultimate responsibility lies with the player. This means:

  • You are responsible for who you invite to your island.
  • You are responsible for properly configuring your protections.
  • You are responsible for monitoring who has build/break permissions.
  • You are responsible for checking your co-op partners and guests.

If you lose items, resources, or progress due to poor island configuration, shared access, or trust misplaced in other players, the staff team will not restore anything. These losses are a direct consequence of your management decisions and fall under your own jurisdiction.

3.- Staff Responsibility Limitations

The AvalonCS staff is committed to ensuring that the server operates smoothly and that players have the best experience possible. However, the staff is not liable for any item losses, gameplay errors, or other issues that do not stem directly from an unavoidable mistake by a staff member.

Some clarifications:

  • PvP-related losses: If you lose your gear in PvP combat, it is part of the game mechanics. We will not refund or intervene.
  • Void drops: If a player falls into the void in any world, they will be teleported back to their spawn point to avoid death. However, if they drop items into the void, they are permanently lost and no admin can recover them. They are also not required to replace them.
  • Player errors: Losing items due to unknown events, inventory misclicks, or other personal mistakes does not warrant staff intervention.
  • Griefing for lack of security: If someone you trusted or allowed access to your island causes damage, no administrator will recover or replace lost items.

Absolutely no administrator shall be under any obligation to perform actions such as item recovery or replacement, immediate teleportation commands, or any other action that can only be performed with administrative powers. It is at their discretion, freely and voluntarily, and without setting any precedent. This assistance, if provided, is entirely a courtesy of the administrator and cannot be claimed as a matter of right. No player has the right to demand or claim any compensation from staff that is not specifically outlined in these rules.

4.- No Obligation to Fulfill Player Requests

Staff members are under no obligation to comply with personal requests, regardless of their nature, urgency, or the rank of the player. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Item restoration
  • Rank adjustments
  • In-game teleports
  • Economy refunds
  • Event rewards disputes

Exceptionally, administrators will only intervene in certain situations, such as (but not limited to):

  • When it involves enforcing the general rules or rules of this game.
  • When a player loses access to their account and requires assistance from the staff to recover their password.
  • When a player switches from using unofficial clients to official launchers and needs to transfer properties (subject to a ticket request).

In such cases, the player must open a support ticket through our official Discord server, clearly explaining their issue and providing all requested information, following the procedures published on our website.

5.- Lost Passwords and Account Recovery

Players who are unable to access their account and wish to recover their password should open a ticket on Discord requesting it.

Please note that, for security reasons, the administrators will require certain information to ensure the request is legitimate.

Once verification is passed, the administrators will provide the procedure to follow to regain access to the account.

If the request is not legitimate and it cannot be proven that the account belongs to the requester, it will be automatically rejected.

Any action that violates the rules and jeopardizes the security and integrity of our servers (such as brute force attacks or creating an alternate account) will result in a permanent ban and the player will be denied the opportunity to appeal.

6.- Alt Account Policy

As clearly stated in our general rules, the creation and use of multiple accounts ("alts") is strictly prohibited.

Creating more than one account for personal gain, evading sanctions, or circumventing waiting periods or restrictions is considered a serious violation and will be punished as follows:

  • All related accounts will be permanently banned.
  • The associated IP address will also be blocked, preventing access to the server.

Exceptionally, and with prior authorization from the staff, players who are family and live in the same household (and therefore have the same internet connection) and wish to play on our server must notify the administrators via a Discord ticket so they are aware of this situation. Failure to do so will be considered fraud and will be punished as described in the previous paragraph.

7.- Prohibition of VPNs and Proxies

For security, stability, and fairness, the use of VPNs, proxy servers, or any service that masks or alters your real IP address is strictly prohibited on AvalonCS.

There are no exceptions to this rule. Any connection attempt through these services may result in automatic blacklisting or bans, regardless of the player's intent. This is necessary to prevent ban evasion, malicious attacks, and abuse of alternate accounts.

However, we understand that false positives may occur. If you believe you have been wrongfully flagged or blacklisted, you may contact the staff team via our support channels to request a review. You will be asked to provide information that demonstrates the legitimacy of your connection and circumstances.

All decisions regarding VPN-related bans are made at the discretion of the administrative team after case review.

8.- Use of Non-Official Launchers

AvalonCS allows players to connect using non-official Minecraft launchers, as long as they comply with the following conditions:

  • The launcher must not introduce modifications that could compromise the security, integrity, or fairness of the server.
  • The launcher must not include cheats, exploits, auto-clickers, or injectors that provide unfair advantages over players using the official launcher.
  • The launcher must be stable and compatible with the server's required version and anti-cheat systems.

Players who use non-official launchers do so at their own risk. Crashes, errors, or incompatibilities caused by such software are not the responsibility of the staff. If a launcher triggers the anti-cheat or security systems, this may lead to automatic punishment.

Players are encouraged to use official, verified launchers whenever possible to ensure a stable and fair experience.

9.- Island Ownership Transfers

Changes in island ownership will not be processed by staff under any circumstances, except in the following two cases:

  1. The original owner has changed accounts due to moving from a non-official launcher to an official Mojang or Microsoft account. In this case, staff may consider transferring ownership to the new, verified account, provided sufficient evidence is submitted.
  2. Both the current owner and the proposed new owner agree to the transfer, and both submit written consent explicitly stating their mutual approval. Screenshots, Discord messages, or forms of verifiable written confirmation may be required.

Outside of these two very specific scenarios, requests to change the owner of an island or region will be denied by default. This is to prevent scams, forced transfers, and administrative abuse. Players should choose co-owners and island members carefully.

10.- Mandatory Reporting Policy for Bugs, Glitches, and Cheaters

To maintain a fair and enjoyable gaming environment for everyone, it is mandatory for players to report any bugs, glitches, or game anomalies they encounter, as well as any players who exploit them or use third-party programs (cheats).

10.1.- Obligation to Report Bugs and Glitches

Every player has the responsibility to inform administrators of any game bug, glitch, or error through the designated channels (e.g., forum, Discord, ticketing system).

Players are expected to immediately stop using any advantage gained through a bug or glitch upon discovering it, and to report it as soon as possible.

10.2.- Obligation to Report Cheaters and Bug Exploitation

It is imperative to report any player who is using bugs, glitches, exploits, or any kind of external program (cheats) to gain an unfair advantage.

10.3.- Consequences for Non-Compliance

If a player is found to have known about a bug, glitch, or cheat and did not report it, or if it's proven that they gained an advantage through them without reporting, they will be permanently banned from the server.

Players who fail to report other players using bugs, glitches, or cheats will be considered accomplices to these actions and will, therefore, be permanently banned from the server.

10.4.- Reporting Method

Reports must be clear and concise, providing as much information as possible (screenshots, videos, detailed description) to facilitate investigation by administrators.

We appreciate the cooperation of all players in ensuring the integrity and fun on our server.
